TokTok makes its way among Cairo's crowded suburbs and main streets, carrying its passengers with their diverse ideas and backgrounds. Everyone's making their own journey.
TokTok is different from traditional comic books, which are usually made for children. A review that aims to produce a bustling mass of comic strips in a free, contemporary spirit, drawn and edited by its own artists. With your participation, it can speed up and reach more readers, young and old. We'd like to work with practitioners of the 9th art in Egypt and elsewhere, and be involved in new trends in comics, as well as comic festivals and exhibitions around the world. TokTok is counting on your energy to make it go faster and faster.
أسس توك توك فريق من خمسة رسامين: شناوي ومخلوف وأنديل وهشام رحمة وتوفيق، ثم انضم لاحقاً لفريق المجلة رسامون ومؤلفون آخرون: ميجو وأنور ومحمد صلاح وحفناوي وهجرسي وتامر عبد الحميد ومحمد إسماعيل أمين وآخرون.
صدر العدد الأول (صفر) في ١٠ يناير ٢٠١١ ثم استمر صدور المطبوعة حتى وصلت للعدد ١٤ في مارس ٢٠١٦ وتبعتها إصدارات آخرى آخرها كتاب توك توك المترجم للفرنسية. الرسم لهشام رحمة.
TokTok was founded by the five artists: Shennawy, Makhlouf, Andeel, Hicham Rahma and Tawfik. More artists and authours has joined later: Migo,Anwar, Mohammed Salah, ,Hefnaw, Hagrassy,Tamer Abdelhamid, Mohammed Ismail Amine and others more. The first issue (zero) was released in January 10, 2011 and the publication continued to its 14th issue (March 2016) and followed then by other publications such as
the recently released anthology book in French.
